This course is aimed at students of the Master in Methods for Public Policy Analysis (METPOL) who need rigorous knowledge of probability and statistics with public policy applications.

At the end of this course, students must understand and be able to apply the concepts of

  3. central limit theorem
  4. statistical estimate
  5. estimate by maximum likelihood 6. estimate by Bayesian methods 7. hypothesis testing and
